The Timeless Legend

Gino Bartali, nicknamed Ginettaccio, was one of the greatest Italian cyclists of all time.

 

Born in Ponte a Ema, in Bagno a Ripoli near Florence on the 18th of July, 1914, he is the author of some of the most famous pages of the golden era of cycling. A tireless competitor, he won three "Giri di Italia" in 1936, 37 and 46 and two 2Tour de France" in 1938 and 1948, as well as numerous other races between the 1930's and 50's.
